"Following the course, one HCA said to me, “Seeing the DVD has really made me think. I am looking at the patients differently now and thinking about what they feel”. I think this is my main observation – more understanding of patient’s and relative’s situation and how they might react. I have had HCAs come and ask me if they were talking the right way to a patient and relative, and two people have mentioned being more careful about confidential information"
